The 2024 Community Salute is one TBC's signature annual networking events and will be hosted by Suffolk University in Keches Hall at the SU Law School. This hybrid event features four Boston-area university leaders in a wide-ranging panel conversation on the challenges women in top-leadership roles in higher education face given today’s fast-changing and complex environment. Topics may include areas such as: Building new strategies for campus diversity given the recent Supreme Court decision, what’s in store for Next Gen leaders and what tools they need to succeed, making the ‘case’ for the value of a college degree, building platforms for lifelong learning, and more. The confirmed panel of speakers includes:
  • Julie Chen | Chancellor, UMass Lowell
  • Marisa Kelly | President, Suffolk University
  • Lynn Perry Wooten | President, Simmons University
  • Shakenna Williams | Executive Director, Frank & EileenTM Center for Women’s Entreprenurial Leadership, Babson College (Moderator)

The 2024 Advancement Award winner will also be announced at this event. This year’s Award will be presented to a qualified regional nonprofit to support a program or initiative that advances post-secondary education access and success for women. You can find more information about the award and the application by clicking here
