The Boston Club is excited to participate in a community event with the West Newton Cinema on Saturday, May 2, from 3 - 5:30 pm. We’ll begin with a screening of the documentary Join or Die, followed by a Community Club Fair.
Join or Die follows social scientist Robert Putnam (Bowling Alone) as he explores the decades-long decline in American civic life - from bowling leagues to neighborhood groups - and makes a compelling case that joining clubs and community organizations is essential to a healthy, vibrant democracy.
